Before we cover the entry level tips for the PvP coliseum, you need to know how the hell to get there.  Any Aion player of any level may enter the Coliseum grounds for PvP.  All you need to do is speak with the Arena Master NPC that is just outside the Coliseum entrance.   You can find the Coliseum by opening you map within a major city.  Follow the link on the npc's instruction window and you will be sent inside.

General

- Character Spells (which including Aion summoned spirits) and other Character buffs that have been cast before you go into the Coliseum will not be removed once you are teleported inside the coliseum. Players are allowed to use their character wings to fly within the Coliseum grounds.
- If you do not move or use a spell when you first enter the grounds you will stay invisible for one minute in order to prepare yourself for battle - use this time to select your target using the tab keys and collect yourself for combat.

- You do not have to be tied down by a time limit in the coliseum, you can stay in it for as long as you wish.  Just talk to the npc when you want to leave.  If you die, you will be teleported out.

PVP Tips

- After 1 minute, or when you move or do a skill you will be game for attacks from other Aion players.  Make sure you get a good view of who you want to battle before you move.

- Don't just stand there, after you have begun combat move around in order to confuse your enemy - this is the best pvp tip you will ever hear, once you master how to move in pvp then you can deal with the harder tips.

- Root higher level players if you are a mage, always go for the healer and magic users first - they are the core of any party and tend to drop easier.

- Never attack a Warrior First - clear the easy players out first.

Group PVP for the Coliseum

- Group members can not attack each other, always protect your healers

Defeat

- When you die, you will ge tteleported back to the Arena Master outside the PvP Coliseum.  Just like when you die in the open world, your character's HP and MP will be reduced but you will get to keep your buffs. There is no time limit for re-entering the coliseum grounds..

- No whining over ganking.  PvP in the open world is not fair so if you learn to fight under strick engagement rules you will suck, so stop crying noob.

- When you see text in the chatbox that says "Player has been kicked" it means they lost in the arena fight.

Victory Tips for Winning in the Coliseum

- If you win, you stay - this will allow you prepare your group for the next players that enter.

- Don't linger at the teleporting entry, stay behind it or better...move to the far end so you can reduce the incoming invisible player's advantage.

- Try to enter with a healer, if no healer availabel make sure to always take out your enemies' healer.  

- In the beta and at first launch there will be lots of activity in the arena so master your group pvp techniques.  Solo Arena pvp will be limited for a while in Aion so get used to it.

Spectators

There are areas on each side of the coliseum thatother players can watch.  This is great to record video from.
