On The Lighter Side

The concept of mmorpg has grown to become extremely popular and widely accepted around the realms of online world. It is almost and comical funny how people from far and wide come together to play together in one place. As a result of its massive player pool, people oftentimes are faced with very funny situations. This tale relives one such situation.

John was a 16-year-old high school sophomore who was too addicted to playing mmo games. He usually played online for two hours every day. Since he was in high school, his father was of the opinion that it was time for him to make a career. As his father would walk by John’s room, he’d see him clicking and laughing and talking. He was greatly opposed to John’s habits.

One day John was playing online on one of his favorite servers when he decided to start an in-game quest. The quest was fairly challenging and required a lot of skills. Although John was up for the challenge, there was one problem: the quest required another person’s assistance. Dejected John had almost decided to try another quest when he got a private message from another player asking him to collaborate in the same quest. John agreed immediately.

It was all going well, they killed the evil monsters, turned the big dragon into a stone statue and were now heading towards the conquest: rescuing the princess. They were almost there when power breakdown had them. John heaved a sigh, and to his surprise, he heard a loud grunt from the other room in the house at the same time. He ran towards it and saw his father in front of his computer. They started laughing hilariously when they saw each other’s face.

Now, John and his father play mmorpgs regularly. John graduated from high school and even completed college, but he still loves playing the same game with his father. They always burst out in laughter whenever they go to rescue the princess now.
